Play Polo at La Republica

We offer 3 types of polo experiences for all guests and members or our club.

Stick & Ball

Stick and Ball is available to those who have either never ridden, who ride or play polo to a basic level. You will have the whole area of the polo field to ride and practice your swing or passing with the Pro. There is no better way to spend an hour after a hard day at work.

Games

We play games at La Republica, 4 times a week during the season. The games are played on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7pm, or slightly earlier towards the end of summer, and at the weekends at 2pm on Saturday and 10am on Sunday. Games are either instructional, where the game is played at a slow speed for those new to the game, or more competitive for those seeking the high speed thrills that the game is renown for.

Lessons

Our two polo trainers are available to give both riding lessons to all ages and abilities. Polo is played holding the reins in one hand in the Western Style. So experienced riders from other horse disciplines may need a little re-training. We provide the horses, tack and riding hat. All you need is a will to learn and an old pair of jeans.
